Guide to events in Portugal

From annual summer festivals to weird and wonderful carnivals in the depths of winter, Portugal doesn’t stop celebrating when it comes to events and festivals. I’ve lived in Lisbon since 2018 and always found it hard to find out what’s on or what’s happening in cities across Portugal, so I created a series of four Portugal events guides to help others find cool things to do that would otherwise fly under the radar.

I’ve split Portugal’s top annual events into four events guides: big cultural events and festivities; music festivals; food festivals; and medieval fairs.
