Accommodation

Booking.com – This is my go-to website for booking hotels, guesthouses, B&Bs, farm stays etc. I’ve been finding the prices are often better than Airbnb.

Tours & Tickets

GetYourGuide – I always book palace tickets, cooking classes etc through Get Your Guide. They have experiences, tours and transfers from local operators, and I find the app is secure and easy to use. It’s easy to cancel things if plans change too.

Viator– is similar to Get Your Guide. Viator is a marketplace for tours and experiences that is connected to TripAdvisor.

Tiquets – has a lot of entry tickets and skip-the-line passes for museums and attractions.

Car Rentals

Discovercars – is a search engines for rental cars. Pop your dates in and find the best rates across dozens of companies, including little locals ones. I find often the lesser-known cheap companies have the best rates and good reviews. Always read the fine print!

Rentalcars.com – I usually used Discovercars, but Rentalcars is also very good.

Transportation

CP – is Portugal’s national rail company. I suggest booking inter-city tickets direct with CP, but if you’re struggling to navigate the site try Trainline instead.

BusBud – is good for searching bus routes and tickets across multiple companies.
